Kit markings
Tamiya supplied two decal sheets for the grey/yellow 2015/16 ‘show car’; the
larger item provided most of the trim, while the second catered for interior
features and company logos.

the build – as evidenced by the
sub-headings!

“I’m gonna fight ’em all”
Tamiya’s kit box featured
a plethora of parts, spread

across five separately bagged
styrene runners, which included
a chrome-plated frame and
another for the clear parts.
The single-piece body shell was
presented in grey plastic and, as

with all other components, was
moulded beautifully and devoid
of flash or flaws. Poly caps were
provided for fixing the wheels
and there were four vinyl slick
racing tyres. Markings were
supplied for the 2015 livery (see
panel), with its characteristic
matt grey finish and yellow AMG

logo, plus items to replicate
carbon-fibre areas, such as the
various spoilers and wings. A
small sheet of pre-cut yellow
masks, black vinyl mesh, self-
adhesive chrome mirror faces,
and silver-arrow logos completed
the package.
