ROBERT DICK is one of Canada’s foremost writers
and educators on astronomical topics. Harrowsmith has
benefitted from Robert’s expertise since its inception.
Robert is passionate about reducing light pollution and
promoting science literacy. He has been an astronomy
instructor for our astronauts, and ensures that our
sunrise and sunset charts, stargazing and celestial events
information will leave you starstruck.

BOB DURNIN is a former professional dishwasher
trying (unsuccessfully) to retire in Rainy River,
Ontario. He co-authored I Call Myself a Prospector
(coreshackpub.com) with his brother, Frank. Advice: “Don’t
quit your day job.” Currently, in an attempt to relive those
glory days, he is once again staking mining claims.

CATHERINE J. JOHNSON works as a writer,
editor and tutor and is a naturalist and lover of
sheep. She co-authored Welcoming Wildlife: Creating
Backyard and Balcony Habitats for Wildlife and has
lived on several farms in British Columbia, one of
them shared with a herd of Roosevelt elk. Fuelled by a
diverse background, Catherine writes about such topics
as boating, multiculturalism, animals, travel and fibre
festivals. She holds a degree in creative writing and
published her first magazine article in 1985.
