WEEKLY FORECASTS
WINTER 2019–2020
Expect a stormy and colder-
than-normal winter this year.
We should see a series of Alberta
Clippers crossing the country and
then reforming into nor’easters
along the coast. This should
bring abundant amounts of snow
inland and mixed precipitation
in coastal areas. The season
should start relatively mild but
then turn sharply colder between
Christmas and New Year’s.
SUMMER 2020
Temperatures should remain
seasonable to slightly above
normal. The season should
start off rather wet, but then
some dry spells can be expected
between mid-July through early
September. There should be one
or two weak tropical systems
moving through the area early to
mid-September.
SPRING 2020
It will be a late spring, as
temperatures will struggle to
get into double digits well into
late April. It should also be a
wetter spring than normal, with a
persistent storm track remaining
over the East Coast. The amount of
cloudy days will outnumber those
that are sunny.
FALL 2020
Temperatures should start off
seasonable, but there will be a
couple of cold waves moving
through between mid-October
and mid-November, which
will make it feel like winter
has come early. There will be a
strong possibility for some light
accumulating snow inland late
November.
