Binge watching with Bjorn
The Advanced Bonsai Course 2 with Bjorn Bjorholm has now even more in-depth
content than ever. Bjorn guides you through the long-term impact of techniques on a
wide variety of tree species. Learn about branch splitting on conifers and establishing
a great nebari with air-layered deciduous material. Understand how to fertilize trees in
different stages and the effects of macro and micronutrients on plants.

‘But this course is not exclusively about advanced techniques,’ Bjorn explains. ‘It also
discusses the aesthetics of traditional and contemporary bonsai display, from the
tokonoma to the exhibition hall. With almost 6 hours of lectures, this is one of the
most extensive courses we've ever created.’

This is the huge number of visitors who

attended the eleventh May Flower and Art

Festival and National Bonsai Exhibition to

be held in this venue, and what a venue.

When most exhibitions are held in sports

halls, this was staged in a magnificent

castle built from mid-13th century.

Piotr Czerniachowski was the brainchild

of the show together with a dedicated

team from the AKiNA group. The May

Flower and Art Festival is a celebration of

spring with garlands, flowers, beautiful

floral arrangements, wonderful artistic

presentations, exhibitions and a number

of demonstrations on the art of bonsai.

Set on a rocky outcrop, the castle and the

surrounding gardens and countryside

make this a destination worth a visit.

Invited artists were Hugo Zamora Luna

(Mexico), Tony Tickle (UK), Rafael Torres

(Spain), Vaclav Novak (Czech Republic),

Milan Roskos (Slovakia) From Poland

were: Bartosz Warwas, Robert Bładek, and

Bogdan Pociask. They worked over 5 days

alongside the main show.

What if 80,000 came to see your bonsai?
