LITE BRITE
We said it when we were
six, and we’ll say it again:
The best craft projects
have a little glitter dusted
on top. To make loose
cosmetic glitter stay
put on lips, Hsu layered it
over both red liquid
lipstick and clear gloss
(she used MAC Retro
Matte Liquid Lipcolour
Metallics in Retrograde
and Shiseido Crystal
GelGloss). She then
tapped gold glitter (try
Nyx Metallic Glitter) on
with an eye shadow
brush, concentrating on
the center of the lips.
“It’s super easy to remove
any fallout with Scotch
tape,” she says.

FINE LINES
For crisp, colorful eyeliner
that’ll never smudge,
Hsu affixed embroidery
string right above the
crease (again using lash
glue). “Avoid the lower
lids, which move a lot, or
the thread will fall off,”
she says. Hairstylist Joey
George used a needle
to loosely weave string
through braids, alternating
bright friendship-bracelet
colors as a nod to
summer-camp magic. “I
left the ends out so it’d
be unfinished, childlike,
and organic,” he says.
