  1. Using remaining A and B pieces
    and referring to Diagram 4 for
    color pairings, repeat steps 1 and 2
    to make 12 of Unit C (red and
    aqua), nine of Unit D (orange and
    yellow), and nine of Unit E (purple
    and mint).


ASSEMBLE BLOCKS



  1. Gather two fuchsia A units, one
    solid light fuchsia 5^1 ⁄ 2 " square, and
    one Unit B.

  2. Referring to Diagram 5, upper
    left-hand quadrant, for unit
    orientation and placement, join
    pieces in pairs; join pairs to make
    a fuchsia block. The block should
    be 10^1 ⁄ 2 " square including seam
    allowances.

  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to make 12
    fuchsia blocks total.
    4. Using matching units and
    complementary light solid 5^1 ⁄ 2 " squares
    and referring to the remaining


Diagram 5 quadrants , repeat steps 1
and 2 to make 12 red blocks, nine
orange blocks, and nine purple blocks.


  1. Repeat steps 1 and 2 to make 24
    fuchsia A units total.

  2. Using remaining solid cream
    B pieces and solid red, solid orange,
    and solid purple A pieces, repeat
    steps 1 and 2 to make 24 red A units, 18
    orange A units, and 18 purple A units.

  3. Using solid fuchsia B pieces and
    solid light green A pieces, repeat
    steps 1 and 2 to make 12 of Unit B
