Editor Jody Sanders used four
batiks to make her 17^1 ⁄ 2 × 461 ⁄ 2 "
three-block table runner version of
A Common Thread. “By changing the
arrangement of lights and darks, the
stars disappear but purple Shoo Fly
blocks and green Square-in-a-Square
units appear,” Jody says. “I added
3"-wide sashing strips and 3"-square
sashing squares to allow each block
to stand on its own.”
