Tall and skinny, elevated
above an existing
building in central
Wellington, the late
Gerald Melling designed
‘Skybox’ for himself in the
early 2000s. With clever,
compact planning over
three levels and a warm,
plywood-lined interior,
there’s a constant play
between the urban and
the domestic.
