Colour stripes are used in waist and
neck bands only.


WORKING PATTERN
BACK
Using smaller needles cast on 80 (86,
92) sts.
Row 1: P2, K4 to last 2 sts, P2.
Row 2: K2 P4 to last 2 sts, K2.
Work 6 rows Main colour then 2
rows by each of contrast colours.
Work a further 4 rows inc to 92
(98,104) sts.


BODY
Change to 3.75mm needles, continue
in pattern until back measures 24 (27,
30) cm.


Armhole Shaping
Cast off 6 (4,6 ) sts at beg of next
2 rows then continue in pattern until
garment measures 39 (41, 46) cm.
Leave 24 (28, 30) Sts at either


shoulder on stitch holder – leaving the
remaining central 32 (34, 32)s ts on
a third stitch holder.

FRONT
Knit as per back including all shaping
to armhole.
Next Row: Cast off 6 (4, 6) sts knit
to centre 2 sts, place those 2 sts on
st holder. Attach new yarn work across
rest of the row.
Next Row: Cast off 6 (4, 6) sts.
Pattern to centre and work on these
sts, keeping to pattern and decreasing
at neck edge every alt row until 24
(28, 30) sts remain. Continue until
work measures the same as the back.
Leaving middle 2 sts on holder work
other front to match right-hand side.
Placing right sides together cast off
the two shoulders together using
three needles.

MAKING UP
Using mattress stitch, sew up sides.

Armhole Bands
Using 3.25mm circular needles pick
up 80 (90, 112) sts around each
armhole and knit in rib as per body
band for 10 rows. Cast off in rib.

Neck Band
With circular needle knit across
32 (34, 32) sts from back of
neck, 33 (34, 41) sts from left
neck edge, central 2 sts, 33 (34,
41) sts from right neck edge 102
(106, 118) sts.
Round 1: Work in K2, P2 to within
2 sts of centre to sts, ssk, K2 central
sts, K2tog, work in rib to end of
round. Repeat in colour sequence
of waistband finishing with 3 row of
main colour.
Cast off in rib.
