With 3.5mm needles and MC, cast on

Single Moss st for 5 rows.
Change to 4mm needles.
Beg with a p row, Stst until piece
measures 36 (36, 36, 37, 37) cm
from beg, end with a WS row.
Shape Armholes
Cast off 7 (7, 8, 8, 9) sts beg next 2
rows.
Dec 1 st each end next 5 (5, 6, 6, 6)
rows.
Dec 1 st each end every RS row 3
times – 59 (69, 79, 89, 99) sts.
Stst straight until piece measures 55
(57, 58, 58, 59)cm from beg, end
with a WS row.
Shape Neck and Shoulders
Next Row: RS – K22 (26, 31, 35,
39) sts, turn, on these sts only.
Cast off 3 (3, 4, 4, 4) sts beg next 3
WS rows.
Next Row: RS – Cast off 6 (8, 9, 11,
13) sts for shoulder, k to end.
P 1 row.
Cast off rem 7 (9, 10, 12, 14) sts for
shoulder.
Return to sts on hold, slip next 15
(17, 17, 19, 21) sts to holder for
centre back neck, rejoin yarn, work
2nd half to match, reversing shapings.
RIGHT FRONT
Design note: To avoid Moss st band
at front edge becoming shorter than
Stst section, work short rows approx
every 5cm or when required as
worked below.
Striped Pattern is started after all body
short rows are completed.
With 3.5mm needles, cast on 39 (43,
50, 54, 60) sts.
Row 1: RS – *K1, p1; rep from * end
row with k1 (1, 0, 0, 0).
Row 2: K1 (1, 0, 0, 0); *p1, k1; rep
from * to end.
Single Moss st for 3 more rows.
Change to 4mm needles.
Next Row: WS – P to last 5 sts, Moss
5.
Next Row: RS – Moss 5, k5, turn.
Next Row: WS – Bring yarn to front,
slip the first st and place yarn over
right hand needle to back, p4; Moss 5.

Work in Striped pattern from here
on and cont to inc as established by
working M1’s until there are 47 (52,
59, 64, 70) sts on needle (ensure to
work extra Moss st short rows where
required).
Keeping Moss band and Striped patt
correct, Stst straight over rem sts
until front measures same as back to
underarm (take measures at shorter
sideseam edge), end with a RS row.
Shape Armhole
Keeping Striped patt correct
throughout.
Next Row: WS – Cast off 7 (7, 8, 8,
9) sts, p to last 5 sts, turn, slip the 5
Moss st sts onto holder.
Dec 1 st at armhole edge next 5 (5,
6, 6, 6) rows, AT SAME TIME, dec 1
st at neck edge every RS row.
Dec 1 st at armhole edge and neck
edge every RS row 3 times.
Cont straight at armhole edge but cont
to dec 1 st at neck edge every RS row
