TENSION
22 sts by 28 rows to 10cm, over
stocking stitch on 4mm needles.

GETTING STARTED
Placing a circle around the size you
are working with will make it easier to
read pattern.
2x2 rib Pattern:
Row 1: * K2, p2, rep from * to last 2
sts, k2.
Row 2: P2, * k2, p2, rep from * to
end.

WORKING PATTERN
LONG SLEEvED JACKET
BACK
Using 3.25mm needles and thumb
method cast on 126 (138, 150, 158,
170, 182) sts.
Work 9 rows in 2x2 rib.
Row 10: P2 (8, 4, 6, 3, 10), p2tog,
(p4 (4, 5, 6, 7, 6), p2tog) 20 (20,
20, 18, 18, 20) times, p2 (8, 4, 6, 3,
10). 105 (117, 129, 139, 151, 161)
sts.
Change to 4mm needles and
proceed as follows:
Row 1: Knit.
Row 2: Purl.
These 2 rows will now be referred to
as st-st (stocking stitch). **
Working in st-st (throughout) cont until
back measures 56 (56, 58, 60, 62,
64) cm, ending with a WS row.

Shape Armholes:
Work 6 (6, 7, 7, 8, 8) rows dec 1 st
at each end of every row. 93 (105,
115, 125, 135, 145) sts.
Cont without shaping until armholes
measure 19 (21, 23, 25, 27, 29) cm,
ending with a WS row.

Shape Shoulders:
Cast off 13 (16, 18, 20, 22, 25) sts

This jacket can be made with long sleeves,
or as a sleeveless style long vest.
