Hello, Bernardo! Who are youandwhereareyou
from? I’m a graphic designerfromBuenosAires,
Argentina. I have an agency calledHolaBosquewhere
I work as an art director, designerandillustrator.Itry
to make artworks based on ideasorstylesIliketo
explore in my free time. Describeyourartisticstyle
in five words. Messy, meticulous,colourful,funand
eclectic. How did this lovely ladyonourcovercome
to be? She’s a representationofthePachamama–
a goddess of the Incas representedbyPlanetEarth,
to whom presents were givenduringagriculturaland
cattle ceremonies in the Andeanworld.Essentially,
she is Mother Nature, and she’sacorepartofthebelief
system of Indigenous peoplesintheCentralAndes.
This illustration came from a smallcollectionImade
called Señoras, where I illustrateddifferentladies.
She’s wearing a mixture of coloursthatrepresent
Latin-American culture, and she’sreceivedanofrenda,
or present, represented by thecorn.Whatmedium

How is your life in Argentina reflectedinyourart?It’s
reflected in the chaos, in a goodway.Differentthings
can survive together because oflittledetailsthatholdit
all together somehow. If we werevisitingBuenosAires
for a day, what would you recommendwedo?Itwillbe
a busy day, starting in La BocaatthePROAMuseum,
then moving on to the Feria deSanTelmoforlunch.
