Sienna’s

happy

family —

in Siena!

THE Queen is
looking for a senior
gardener at
Buckingham Palace
to keep her lawns and
borders in top
condition. The Royal
Household is
advertising for an
experienced gardener
who will be paid just
£22,000 a year, but with
promises that their
work will be admired
by ‘thousands’. There
could be competition:
as I reported last week,
the Duchess of Cornwall
also wants a gardener
for her Wiltshire home,
Ray Mill House.

SHE may have been dubbed
fashion’s ‘ice queen’, owing to her
famously cool demeanour, but
American Vogue editor-in-chief
Dame Anna Wintour admits
there is at least one subject
that gets her feeling all warm
and fuzzy.
‘We have a new puppy in our
household. She arrived last week

■ and her name is Finch,’ explains
Wintour, 69, of her recently
adopted white labradoodle.
‘She’s called Finch because we call
all of our dogs after characters in
To Kill A Mockingbird. So we have
had a Scout, a Radley and a
Harper [the author] — and let me
tell you, they are not happy about
Finch’s arrival!’

FORMER party girl
Sienna Miller, who
once described her
romantic life as ‘quite
chaotic’, can always
rely on the love of
her family.
The 37-year-old film
star — whose exes
include actors Tom
Sturridge, with whom
she has a seven-year-
old daughter, and
Jude Law — enjoyed

a holiday in Siena,
Italy, with her fashion
designer sister Sav-
annah, 40, and their
mother, former
model Josephine.
‘The most magical
week away with
my magic family. It

was a dream to be
together,’ Savannah
writes online next to
this snap. ‘I am very
grateful for the
reminder family time
is the most important
time and is deeply
soul-enriching.’

Lady Mary’s

teaser over

Downton 2

AS DOWNTON Abbey fans await
the film to hit the big screen next
month, one of its stars, Michelle
Dockery, is ratcheting up
excitement by hinting there could
already be a sequel in the works.
The 37-year-old, who plays Lady
Mary Crawley in the period drama
created by Lord Fellowes, posed
for a fashion shoot in InStyle
magazine, in which she is asked
whether there will be another film
based on the ITV series.
‘I mean, we’ll see,’ she teases. ‘As
Elizabeth McGovern, who plays
my mother, just said, “All doors are
left open.”’ She adds it was a

poignant moment getting back
into her character’s old-fashioned
garb for the new movie. ‘For my
first fitting I felt quite emotional
putting those dresses back on.
‘Some were reused, but because
it’s a film, we also dialled it up a
notch. We could afford to go slightly
more grand.’
