however,I havetakeninspirationfromneedlepointworkandusedfabricinstead
to createa patternwithstripsof fabric.I createdthispatternwiththeElectric
Quilt8 – oneof thebesttoolsin mysewingroom.Thefabricsusedin bargello
designsandthewayin whichyouorderthemplaya hugepartin thee ectof the
finishedpiece.Forexample,theplacementof theOakshottfabricsin thiscushion
fromlightto darkhavea gradiente ectonthedesign.Whenusingtencolours,
I liketo gofortwocolourways– ontwentyfabricsfora quilt,I wouldgoforfour
colourways.I lovethewayyoucanplayaroundwiththisparticularpattern,
using just ten fabrics or twenty, it’s extremely customisable” –Sally Ablett
