viously confirmed did not involve
fertility treatments. “Having twins
once does increase your chanc-
es of having them again,” Dr. Pari
Ghodsi, M.D., FACOG, has told Life
& Style. Amal’s age — she turned
41 in February — also ups her and
George’s chances of welcoming
double the bundles of joy. While the
older you get, the harder it is to con-
ceive any pregnancy, ob-gyn Dr.
Sherry Ross has conceded to Life &
Style, those who do “are more likely
to have twins.” (Neither doctor has
treated Amal.)
George, 5 8, may be more con-
cerned about his own age, though.
“While there’s no doubt George
would be overjoyed to become a dad
again, he’s not getting any younger,
and looking after two sets of twins
under 3 would be a handful for any-
one!” says the source, noting that
whispers are pointing to a January

due date (Ella and Alexander were
born a month premature in June
2 017). “George has even jokingly
asked buddy Brad Pitt to be his
manny. After all, his pal has plenty
of experience looking after his own
brood [which includes twins Knox
and Vivienne, 11 ] and is great at giv-
ing parenting advice.”

SPOILING HER ROTTEN
As George continues to learn on the
job with his toddlers, he’s also fo-
cusing on Amal. “He’s been going
all-out to spend more time with her.
It’s brought them closer together,”
explains the source. After experi-
encing what Life & Style has previ-
ously reported was a “rocky period”
in their nearly five-year marriage,
where the two were spending ample
time apart due to conflicting sched-
ules, they’re now on the mend. “He’s
traveling less frequently to LA and

they went through couples counsel-
ing, which has helped improve com-
munication. They’re not arguing as
much,” says the source, adding that,
amid the pregnancy buzz, “it seems
like a spark has been reignited in
their marriage.”
George just wants Amal to be
healthy, safe and comfortable —more
so now than ever. “Amal’s an inde-
pendent woman who doesn’t like to
be fussed over, but that’s not stop-
ping George from spoiling her re-
cently,” says the source. “He’s trying
to make sure his wife is well-rested
and has organized private spa treat-
ments during their stay in Italy. He’s
also upped his game when it comes
to looking after the kids so that Amal
can wind down and switch off.”

PA L S IN HIGH PLACES

When they’re not jet-setting around
the world for their demanding
jobs, George and Amal are
based at their main residence,
a Georgian-style mansion
nestled on a 4-acre private
island in the Thames River
about an hour outside
of London (top). They
completely renovated the
$ 16 million, 17 th-century
property after buying it in 201 4.
Then there’s their palatial, 25 -room
summer home, the 18 th-century Villa
Oleandra, on Italy’s Lake Como, which George
purchased in 2001 for $ 13. 5 million (bottom).
When in Hollywood, meanwhile, the couple
stay at the 7,300-square-foot, six-bedroom
home in Studio City that George bought during
his ER heyday for $ 2. 2 million.
