W
ho wants to diet and exer-
cise? Not Margot Robbie.
The Once Upon a Time in...
Hollywood actress knows it’s a nec-
essary evil though. “I love food, I love
wine and I love having a good time
with my friends,” she says. “But I also
don’t love the feeling of knowing that
I don’t look my best.” That’s where
trainer Andie Hecker (@andie_day)
comes in. Here, the fitness pro —
who first teamed up with Margot to
get her ready for Harley Quinn’s hot
pants in Suicide Squad — outlines
her tips and tricks to stun like the
star. “Most of all, be consistent!” she
tells Life & Style. “Seeing results will
make you want to keep going and
striving for more.”

“Music is a huge motivator
for my clients and me,” shares
Hecker, who has also trained
supermodels Miranda Kerr
and Rosie Huntington-
Whiteley. “Blast your favorite
tunes while working out
and let the music take you
through to the end of your
exercise program.”
You don’t have to go it alone!
“Find a friend to work out with or a
trainer who makes working out fun
and motivating,” advises Hecker.
Girls’ girl Margot likes to drag her
besties to “dance class” when time
permits. Notes the star: “It doesn’t
feel like exercise!”
Cross-training is
key. “Have your
program consist of
a mix of strength
training, flexibility
training and
cardio,” suggests
Hecker, who
recommends
getting physical
three to five
times a week.
Margot’s go-to for
staying limber?
Pilates. “I work...
on a reformer
machine,” she says.
“That suits me and
my body best.”
While Margot, 29, always lets
herself have a glass of wine
or two, she does nix fast food,
sugary drinks and chocolate
when streamlining her
physique for a role — turning
to yummy, nutritious staples
like kale and apple smoothies
and lemon chicken
with brown rice
instead. It’s about
“eating a wide range
of foods that you
like and that satisfy
you,” says Hecker, the
owner of Ballet Fit LA,
“but in small to moderate
portions. Restricting
the diet too much is
unsustainable and leads to
binge eating.”
