ESTRANGED Ford and twins

A MOTHER who drowned
her twins in the bath out of
“anger” at her estranged
husband has been sen-
tenced to 10 years.
Samantha Ford, 38,
killed 23-month-old Jake
and Chloe on Boxing Day,
2018, after splitting with
her husband Steven.
She then drove into the
back of a lorry at 100mph
and told police: “I’ve killed
my babies. Let me die.”
Ford, of Margate, Kent,
denied murder but ad -
mitted manslaughter by
diminished responsibility.
She will start her term in
a psychiatric unit.
Sentencing her at the
Old Bailey, Mr Justice Edis
told her she knew the
twins’ deaths would
“devastate” Mr Ford.
He added: “It is unlikely
they died simultaneously
and it must have taken
some time and required
some determination.”

BY dancers Stavros Flatley, who also appeared in
2009, and will now perform with a host of
other international acts.
They includ e Ukrainian sand artist Kseniya
Simonova, US-based knife-throwers Deadly
Games, young German dog trainer Alexa
Lauenburger and scary Indonesian illusionist
The Sacred Riana, who is billed as “the most
terrifying performer yet”.
Judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden,
Alesha Dixon and David
Walliams, and hosts Ant
and Dec, will also be there
when the show kicks off
in a fortnight.
The producers said: “Over
the past 13 years we’ve
witnessed truly incredible
talent take to the stage.
“Now they’ll go head-to-
head with the best Got Talent
acts from around the world in
what promises to be the
Olympics of Talent.”
Each week, two acts will go
through to the final – a Golden Buzzer act
picked by a judge or Ant and Dec, and another
selected by the arena audience.

THE line-up for Britain’s Got Talent: The
Champions has been confirmed, with sing-
ing sensation Susan Boyle not on the list.
The series, which pitches the best of British
against the rest of the world, will showcase
previous UK winners including opera singer
Paul Potts and street dancer George Sampson.
Others on the call-sheet include magician
Richard Jones, musical theatre
foursome Collabro, current
BGT champ Colin Thackery
and comic Lost Voice Guy.
But the show will be without
Scottish singer Susan, 58, who
had planned to mark the 10th
anniversary of her appearance
on BGT in 2009.
She pulled out last month,
having already appeared on
the US Champions show, to
concentrate on her eighth
album and upcoming tour.
And in a further blow to
show bosses, dance act Diversity – who beat
Boyle to win the series a decade ago – will also
not take part, citing “other commitments”.
Still, some memorable acts have been
invited back to the ITV spin-off for pure enter-
tainment value.
They include father-and-son Greek Cypriot
