the plunge to capture
fascinating marine life
found on colourful
coral reefs around

lies
At Vatu-i-Passage, Bligh Water, Fiji,
life thrives on the side of a coral
reef that faces into the current.
Leather corals, soft corals, and sea
fans create a vivid scene. A variety
of fish species, including magenta
slender- and scalefin anthias feed
on plankton here. In tidal areas
where there are strong currents,
one side of the reef comes to life
for a few hours, before switching
when the tide changes.
