A shop worker notified police and
followed the suspect down the
street. The ex-prisoner was arrested
with the bottles allegedly in his pos-
session.
It may be a while before he is fi-
nally able to pop a cork in celebra-
tion. He allegedly had a knife in his
pocket so he’s also charged with
armed robbery. AP

A 25-year-old man was back be-
hind bars the day he was let out of
prison — this time for allegedly
stealing bubbly to toast his free-
dom.
The man was observed tak-
ing several bottles of spar-
kling wine from a shop in
the German city of
Fuerth, police said.

Now he’s A-robbed.
A half-million dollars’ worth of
jewelry and electronics was re-
portedly stolen from Alex Rod-
riguez’s rental SUV in San Fran-
cisco while he was having a post-
game dinner with the ESPN pro-
duction crew.
The vehicle, rented by the net-
work for the former Yankee slug-
ger, was broken into
sometime between 9
p.m. and 11 p.m. Sunday
while it was parked
about three blocks from
Oracle Park, the San
Francisco Chronicle re-
ported Monday, citing
law-enforcement
sources.
The robber made off
with his camera, laptop,
jewelry and a bag, the report said.
A-Rod, who is engaged to Jenni-
fer Lopez, was in San Francisco to
broadcast the Giants-Phillies
game for ESPN.
ESPN had rented the black Nis-
san SUV for A-Rod and other
members of its production team.
“It’s an unfortunate situation.
We’re working with local authori-
ties to address it,” ESPN said in a
statement.
Rodriguez and several of his
colleagues were having dinner af-
ter the game when the theft oc-
curred, an ESPN official said on
Monday.
San Francisco police were treat-

ing the case as a “high priority,”
according to the newspaper.
Burglary investigators were
working the scene and collecting
evidence from the SUV overnight
on Sunday and into Monday
morning, according to the report.
A rep for A-Rod said the value
of the items stolen was “grossly
exaggerated” but would not pro-
vide a specific amount.
Now would the San Francisco
Police Department would provide
the value of the item.
A-Rod, who retired
from the Yankees in
2016 after a steroid
scandal scarred his ca-
reer two years earlier,
was brought on by
ESPN to provide color
commentary for “Sun-
day Night Baseball” last
year.
He celebrated his
44th birthday at his Miami home
in late July, days after he gave J.Lo
a red Porsche as a gift at her ex-
travagant 50th-birthday bash in
the Florida city.
About 200 of Lopez and Rod-
riguez’s closest friends were
treated to a caviar bar and buffet
at J.Lo’s party at Gloria and Emilio
Estefan’s estate on Star Island,
sources told The Post at the time.
Lopez, star of the upcoming
movie “Hustlers,” wore a Versace
dress to the gold-themed affair,
which featured surprise perfor-
mances by rapper Fat Joe, Ashanti
and DJ Khaled.

What a cheeky pair!
Scarlett Johansson and fi-
ancé Colin Jost bummed
around the Hamptons over
the weekend, enjoying some
R&R with a side of PDA
during a shoreline stroll.
The actress, 34, and “Sat-
urday Night Live” writer, 37,
were spotted gazing into
each other’s eyes with their
arms entwined — and Jost
resting a hand on ScarJo’s
booty.
In addition to a trucker
hat, the “Avengers” star
wore a sexy one-piece that
put her intricate back tat-
toos on full display.
One tat depicts a lamb.
The other — of roses on a
vine — may be a tribute to
her 5-year-old daughter,
Rose Dorothy Dauriac,
whom she had with ex-hus-
band Romain Dauriac.
It’s just part of ScarJo’s ex-
tensive collection of ink.
After the release of
“Avengers: Infinity War” last
year, she and co-stars Rob-
ert Downey Jr., Chris Evans,
Chris Hemsworth and Jer-
emy Renner got matching
tattoos of the superhero
team’s logo.
The Manhattan-born ac-
tress also has “I ♥ NY” on
her wrist, a sunrise on her
forearm and more flowers
on her rib cage.
She and the Staten Island-
born Jost began dating after
she hosted “SNL” in 2017.
They confirmed their en-
gagement in May.
It will be Jost’s first mar-
riage and the third for Jo-
hansson, who was also mar-
ried to actor Ryan Reynolds.
