A beer diet is likely to affect your fitness, but alcohol can still be enjoyed as part of your healthy lifestyle.


Sadly, working out and
going out don’t tend
to complement each
otherallthat well. Just as no-one
(literally no-one) at the pub wants
to hear about how many calories
you burned at circuits earlier, your
performances in the gym, or at
your local parkrun, are going to
take a big hit if you’re drinking
too much on a regular basis.
That’s not to say going teetotal is
the answer – a drink with mates
is important, not just to keep up
a social life, but also to reduce
stress levels and relax. That
said, bringing your boozing into
check is a sure-fire way to ramp
up your progress, whatever your
