This season sees Lacoste’s debut
collection with British designer
Louise Trotter at the helm, making
her the first woman to become
creative director in the brand’s
long-standing 85-year history.
Formerly at Joseph, she became
synonymous with clean lines and
form-flattering tailoring – as seen
in this inaugural collection. From
butter-soft leather trenches
with sporty utility belts to preppy
tennis-inspired knits with the logo
in abstract embroidery, it’s set to
be the label on everyone’s lips.
Prices from £45

CASHMERE
British cashmere designer
Madeleine Thompson has
teamed up with long-standing
friend and American actor
Michelle Monaghan to front
the AW19 campaign. Shot in
LA, Madeleine explains that
Michelle was a perfect fit,
bringing a strength and
attitude that’s at the heart of
what the brand stands for. This
season sees a distinctive nod to
the 80s, with clashing prints in
leopard, zebra and dogtooth
worn with waists cinched and
styled with vertiginous heels.
All woven from the rarest
feather-light yarn, the cashmere
is sourced and spun in Italy.
Michelle’s long-term support
for her friend’s collection has
seen her regularly wearing the
brand, stating that “honestly,
there may not be anything
cosier out there” and that the
“cardigans, dusters and pants
are my travel staples”. And
it’s not just Michelle who feels
that way – other celebrity
fans include Sienna Miller,
Kate Moss and Emily Blunt.
Prices from £280
