Reflexive and reciprocal pronouns

On the Grammar page (p. 56), we focus on two types of pronouns that can cause
confusion.
Remember!
For many
activities that
people routinely
do themselves,
English-
speakers do not
normally use a
reflexive
pronoun:
● I always
shower before
breakfast.
(not “shower
myself”)
However, to
stress that you
do something
yourself
although it
might not be
expected, you
can use a
reflexive verb:
● She’s only
two, but
she already
dresses
herself.
(= without
help from her
