You have always been a very community minded real
estate agent sponsoring local events and volunteering
your time to community service. Why is it that?A
It’s really important to have a holistic view of real estate,
especially when you live and work in an area like the Blue
Mountains. I’m proud to be an embedded part of our local
community in a real and meaningful sense and in doing this I
have made firm friendships and earned a lot of trust and respect
locally. I am very happy to be in a position to give back in my
own neighbourhood and I gain an enormous amount of personal
satisfaction knowing that I can contribute both professionally
and personally in making the Blue Mountains a better place to
live.Q
Can you give us some examples of the type of work you
do within the community?A
When my children were younger I was very involved in
the school P&C including volunteering at BBQ’s, helping
with fundraising events and I also served as President. I have a
personal interest in the Arts, and I sponsor and give hands on
assistance at Wentworth Falls Artfest, bentART and the Blue
Fringe Arts Festival every year. I also serve on the Board of
Thrive Services who were formerly known as Blue Mountains
Family Support Service and I am very proud of the work we
do supporting families in need within the Blue Mountains and
Lithgow region.Q
How does this compliment your work as a real estate
agent?A
In combination with my extensive experience as a sales
agent, my community involvement strengthens my ties
to both buyers and sellers alike. Buyers place a lot of value
on my local knowledge, trustworthiness, approachability, and
helpfulness. With vendors I have a lot of credibility because
I have a reputation for being a caring, hands-on agent and
this brings me an enormous amount of recommendation
and referral work. I love it when my clients see me actively
participating in local events and giving back to the
