The watch that already knows a thing or two about survival

(it’s been run over by a tank, among 129 other tests of

fortitude) has had its credentials further upgraded. This

version of the I.N.O.X. takes its colour cues from firefight-

ing’s yellow and red livery, and as well as having a tough

carbon composite case, it includes a handwoven paracord

strap in reflective yellow. Paracord has a load-bearing

ability of up to 250kg, and has range of survival applica-

tions, including (but not limited to) rigging shelters and

animal snares, lashing rafts, and tourniquets – and you can

flat for the car (and shed). To

use, fold out the sturdy legs

and choose between two

cooking heights. We loved the

windbreak, which really helped

focus the heat of the fire,

while the grid-style cooking-

grate means you’ll never

again lose a sausage through

the bars. However, any fat

drips straight on to the centre

of the hinge in the base, which

makes for a greasy clean-up.

area. It’s a superb piece of

engineering that packs away
