Over the past decade, Stockholm has experienced a spike in venture
capital and government funding – but the biggest change, says Anna Gissler, the
CEO of Invest Stockholm, is startups trying to make a positive impact on society.
“Stockholm is on the way to becoming an impact unicorn factory,” she says.
Natalia Brzezinski, CEO of tech conference Brilliant Minds, agrees. “So many
women work full-time, everyone has access to healthcare and people believe in
climate change, so Swedish startups use data to solve serious global challenges.”
