Number inside the pattern weft indicates
the number of pattern picks to be woven.
tabby: 16/2 cotton, black
pattern: Fårö 6/1 wool, black

Weave several picks of scrap yarn to protect the weft.
Remove the scarf from the loom and zigzag the raw
edges. Fold the hems under twice and handstitch.

Wet-fi nish by hand with a color catcher or textile deter-
gent in lukewarm water. To prevent the wool from fulling,
wash with very little agitation. Roll the scarf in a towel to
remove excess water. Lay fl at to dry. Press using a press cloth.
After retiring, LOYANNE COPE landed in the art community of Eureka
Springs, Arkansas, where she is inspired by the Ozark Mountains, history,
and many talented weavers.
