For the second row, begin by pinning the fi rst row of
knots. Work in 2" chunks, moving pins as you fi nish
each section. Measure 1" from the fi rst row of knots (about 2"
from the base of the towel) and mark with pins about ¼" apart
as you did for the fi rst row. Knot as you did for the fi rst row,
splitting all but the fi rst and last bundles into 2 groups of 3
threads. There will be 12 ends in the second knots on the sides.11
Wet-fi nish both towels in warm water with Professional
Textile Detergent. Tumble dry on low. Press.12
Trim the fringe on Towel 1 to 3". Trim off the scrap
yarn on Towel 2. Press the hems under twice and sew
