Superbike races at Miller. Mat Mla-
din and Larry Pegram won the AMA
Superbike races at Road America.
Shane Narbonne was the winner
of the 86th Loudon Classic at New
Hampshire Motor Speedway, and
Garrett Gerloff beat Nick McFad-
den and Joe Roberts in the Miche-
lin WERA National Challenge Se-
ries 125cc GP race at Miller.
Oxley also interviewed Mo-
toGP riders who described in de-
tail what they were doing to get
the most out of an 800cc MotoGP
bike. With the electronics han-
dling throttle duties, riders were
at full throttle and forced to mod-
ulate the front and rear brakes at maximum lean
at triple-digit speeds to control suspension movements and
keep the front wheel on the ground and steering. “Try doing
that on your next track day,” Oxley wrote. “In fact, don’t.”

talked about his injuries, burns
and surgeries and how he over-
came them to keep racing. Ben

good and really bad.” Racing Editor
