I BOUGHT ONE NEIL MACPHERSON
‘I’ve always loved this generation
of Impreza. My first was a grey
import, an STi V1, but the
insurance was a killer and I had to
let it go. I then found a compromise in the
UK 2000; it has a solid 2.0-litre EJ20 but
the insurance costs are halved. It’s not as
sought after as some but it’s still a
powerhouse with great potential. It
still goes as well as the day it rolled
out of the factory, too.’
