Thequick,two-wheel-driveRevmaxentrydrivenbyFrankKupermanbrokedownrightbeforetheevent,sohe
entereda nearlybrand-newRaminitsplace!Despitethelastminutechance,theRamlaiddown1,322hpand
1,740lb-ftreportedlythroughanAisintransmission.

JoshScruggscametothecompetitionloadedforbearandwithLavon
Miller’sride,whichtookthetitlein2018.Aftera strong5.74atthe
dragstripanda goodrunthrougheliminations,hewaslookinggooduntil
thisgiantengine-endingfireball.Evenwiththepyrotechnics,thetruck
stillchurnedout2,053hpand2,527lb-ft.

DonovanHarrispilotedtheDynomiteDieselProducts/ArmorInc.rideto5.60satthedrags,andhewaslookingfora strongshowingonthedyno.Hisperformanceshaveimprovedevery
year,andthedynowasnoexception,astheRamputdown2,096hpand3,019lb-ftfora fourth-placefinish.

differencewastorque,astheDDPentrycrackedthe3,000
lb-ftbarrierwith3,019lb-ft.Thatjustlefttwoplaces.In
secondwasJustinAndres,whobrokethe2,200and3,000
barrierswith2,268hpanda whopping3,176lb-ft.In a
well-deservedfirst,DerekRoseabsolutelymurderedthe
fieldandseta newdynorecordwith2,503horsepowerand
a ludicrous3,783lb-ftoftorque.

SledPulling
DerekRosehada prettycommandingleadcomingintothe
sledpull,andhereallyhadtomuckthingsuptosacrifice
first.Yet,thetoptrucksstillhada lotofjostlingtodo,as
ShawnBaca,ChrisBuhidar,DonovanHarris,JustinAndres,
anda numberofothertruckswerecloseenoughtohavethe
sledpullbea decidingfactor.If Derekhadissuesandpulled
under 200 feet,however,it wasstillanyone’sevent.

Startingback-to-front, 19 oftheoriginal 24 trucksremained.
TowardthebackofthefieldwereFrankKuperman,Shawn
