As a kid in Cooma, was it tough
playing footy on frosty grounds?
How’s it been moving to Cronulla?
If you live close to training and
the beach, you probably don’t
have to drive in too much traffic...
Do you get recognised often?
Do your parents come up
to games?
And your friends must have
enjoyed it!
The NRL’s new national introductory
rugby league program ‘League
Stars’ was officially launched last
week in Sydney and Brisbane.
NRL and NRLW stars James
Tedesco, Isabelle Kelly, Jai Arrow,
Meg Ward, Damien Cook and
Corban McGregor are ambassadors
to the program, as well as former
NRL stars Johnathan Thurston
and Sam Thaiday.
League Stars introduces boys
and girls aged five-to-12 to the
basic skills of the game through
non-contact skills sessions after
school and in the holidays. Before-
school and weekend programs are
also available in some locations.
The program appeals to the
true nature of kids in their messy,
high-energy, love of fun and play.
The program provides the perfect
introduction to rugby league for
Primary School-aged children,
and is suitable for participants
of all abilities.
So what are you waiting for? Head
to LeagueStars.com to find out
more information and how you can
become your own League Star.
