NIGEL CABOURN X TIMEX WATCH £
cabourn.com
British designer Nigel Cabourn has looked back to his 1950s childhood love of the
beautiful game for his latest watch’s inspiration. The 45-minute, red-shaded ode to
referee timepieces of yore is a nice touch, as are the claret-and-blue colours – a nod
to Nigel’s Scunthorpe upbringing. If you’re one of the many who don’t support the
Iron, West Ham, Aston Villa or Burnley, fear not – it also comes with a black strap.

NEW BALANCE TEKELA V2 £
newbalance.co.uk/football
Unlike the other big boys, New Balance’s approach to boot releases is much more
measured, but they rarely miss the target. The Tekela v2 is no different, and come
in a Deep Ozone Blue with a Bayside Blue soleplate. Leaving made-up colours to
one side, they’re slightly ribbed for your protection, comfort and ball-striking ability,
and look like something that might attack if you found yourself in an Alien movie.

BORN OFFSIDE
T-SHIRTS £
bornoffsideuk.com
Cantona’s kung-fu kick.
Gazza in the dentist’s
chair. Fowler snorting
the touchline. Zidane’s
power headbutt. These
are moments etched
into every football fan’s
memory for their sheer
absurdity, fun or violence.
Occasionally all three.
Born Offside – a fashion
brand who specialise
in streetwear – have
now immortalised these
maverick moments by
sticking their silhouettes
on T-shirts, which look
pretty tasty. Sorry, Reds
fans, the 1995-96 away
jersey is not included.
