Check out this amazing advice from our readers...

Cheap and easy storage
Instead of purchasing fancy makeup
storage, store your makeup and brushes
in glass jars. These are from IKEA and
they were super cheap!
Holly, Liverpool

Working at the car wash
Clean your car seats with a lint roller. It’s
great at collecting all the hairs and dust
and saves a vacuum! Amy, Wiltshire

In the garden
I am terrible at gardening and
keeping plants healthy, so I’ve
started decorating my garden
with ornaments instead. They
last forever and add some
colour! Jade, Cornwall

Citr
To clean a wooden chopping board,
sprinkle on a handful of salt and rub
with half a lemon. Rinse with clean
water and dry to ensure it is clean
and germ-free. Yasmin, Saltford

In the bag
Wipe your purse and
bag with a disinfectant
wipe regularly. You won’t
realise how dirty they are!
Julie, Bath

Squeaky clean
I use The Pink Stuff to clean so many things
around my house. Scoop a blob out of the pot
using a clean cloth. Spread onto a surface and rub
in circular motions then rinse the residue. I clean
any pans that look scorched and they sparkle!
Lucie, Hertford

Steam room
After you’ve cooked greasy food
in the oven, place an oven proof
bowl filled with water and lemon
juice on the top shelf. The heat
from the oven will steam the
inside and it’ll smell as goodas
new. Theodora, Bristol

Squeeze and swirl
If you don’t have any makeup
brush cleaner, use your hair
conditioner. Squeeze a dollop
of conditioner in a glass and
fill with warm water, swirl your
brushes and then rinse with
clean water and lay flat to dry.
Amelia, Stratford

Flower power
If you forget to water
your flowers during the
hot months, leave a few
ice cubes in the plant pot.
They will slowly melt and
hydrate your plants!
Lia, Essex
