s I lay down on the sofa
at the end of another
long day, I sighed
tiredly with relief.
I had my little one-
year-old tot Minnie tucked under
one arm and my son Cobee, five,
under the other.
We were having a sleepover

Once outside, we all raced to my
neighbour’s house and pounded on
the front door.
‘Help! Call the fire brigade!’ I
begged.
I turned and watched helplessly
as flames and smoke engulfed from
our beloved home.
We’d been there for two years
and had become a party of five with
