all the proceeds to Sightsavers, a
charity dedicated to eradicating
Trachoma. It’s, one of the world’s
oldest tropical diseases. It causes
roughening of the eyelids and can
cause permanent blindness.
In2009,H&Mbecameoneofthefirst
fashion retailers to partner with the
British Red Cross. They donate all
unsaleable stock to the charity’s 330
shops. Over the last 10 years, this
partnership has raised over £4 million to aid natural
disasters and emergencies. Since 2015, H&M have
also donated all funds from the mandatory plastic bag
charge to UNICEF’s UK Children’s Emergency Fund.
