and this is the first time he has had an image published. ‘I had
visited this spot the previous week, and was actually passing
en route to another location,’ he reveals. ‘However, with the
mist lingering over the water and the morning sun catching
the tops of the trees I just had to stop and take another shot.’
Simon added the image to his Instagram feed and tagged us
using the hashtag #appicoftheweek.

Pete Lock was retuning home with his dog when he noticed
a split refuse sack with its contents spilled out across the car
park. ‘I took this picture last year when I was still shooting with
a DLSR – I recently switched to mirrorless,’ he explains. ‘The
image was captured at 200mm with an aperture of f/2.- the compression was perfect for isolating the doll.’ Pete
uploaded it to our Instagram page using the hashtag
#appicoftheweek.
