Use a pencil to mark a diagonal
line on wrong side of each cream
print 3^1 ⁄ 2 " square.

Align marked cream print
squares with ends of assorted
print 3^1 ⁄ 2 × 12 1 ⁄ 2 " rectangle (Diagram 1;
note direction of marked lines). Sew
on marked lines; trim excess fabric,
leaving^1 ⁄ 4 " seam allowances. Press
open attached triangles to make a
Roof Unit. The unit still should be
3 1 ⁄ 2 × 12 1 ⁄ 2 " including seam allowances.

FINISHED QUILT: 741 ⁄ 2 " square
