Diagram, sew together 30 Flying

Geese units to make a long pieced

border strip. Press seams in one

direction. The border strip should be

5 ×68" including seam allowances.

Repeat to make a second long pieced

border strip.

Sew together 24 Flying Geese

units and two gray print

5" squares to make a short pieced

border strip. Press seams in one

direction. The border strip should be

5 × 631 ⁄ 2 " including seam allowances.

Repeat to make a second short pieced

border strip.

Sew long border strips to long

edges of quilt center. Add short

border strips to remaining edges to

complete quilt top. Press all seams

toward quilt center.
