Referring to Diagram 4, layer

Align and pin center matching points.

Pin matching points at each end; pin

generously in between, gently easing

edges as needed.

Sew together subunits, removing

each pin just before the

needle reaches it, to make Unit A1

(Diagram 5). The unit should be

91 ∕ 2 × 71 ∕ 2 " including seam allowances.

Repeat steps 1-6 to make seven

total of Unit A1 in seven different

assorted print colors.

Unit A2

Gather an assorted print 6" square

and a white-and-gray print

91 ∕ 2 × 71 ∕ 2 " rectangle.

In the same manner as before, use

5" fill template to cut a quarter

subunit from print 6" square.

Referring to Diagram 6, align 5"

cutaway template with the lower

left-hand corner of white-and-gray

print 9^1 ∕ 2 × 71 ∕ 2 " rectangle. Trace and cut

as before to make an arc subunit.

Align, pin, and sew together as before
