fill template with pieced corner of
Step 2 square. Trace and cut to make a
quarter subunit.

Again referring to Diagram 24,
align 8" cutaway template with
upper right-hand corner of white-and-
gray print 9½" square. Trace and cut
to make an arc subunit.

Referring to Diagram 25, layer
arc subunit atop quarter subunit.
Align, pin, and sew together to make
Unit B3 (Diagram 26). The unit
should be 9½" square, including seam
allowances.

Repeat steps 1-5 to make five total
of Unit B3 in five assorted print
colors.

Unit B4

Gather an assorted print 10" square

and a white-and-gray print 9½"

square.

Use 9" fill template to cut a quarter

subunit from print 10" square.
