The emergence of the video came af-
ter prosecutors in the US said they
were continuing their investigations
into Epstein’s crimes and their atten-
tion had turned to his associates.
The source said that they had gone
public with the footage to try and en-

courage other victims to come forward.
The Duke is braced for the release of
further court documents in the coming
weeks after being named in documents
relating to Ghislaine Maxwell, the Brit-
ish socialite alleged to have “acted as a
madam” for her lover Epstein.
She has repeatedly denied the
claims.

Buckingham Palace repeated their
“emphatic denial” of allegations against
the Duke made by Virginia Roberts,
one of Epstein’s victims.

A spokesman for the Palace said:
“Any suggestion of impropriety with
under-age minors is categorically un-
true.”
The Duke is currently on holiday in
Spain with his former wife Sarah,
Duchess of York.

Duke of York pictured inside Epstein’s NY mansion

By Hayley Dixon

PEERING out from behind the 15ft-
high solid oak door, the Duke of York is
seen to catch himself and check if any-
one is watching as he waves goodbye to
an attractive brunette.
And it may be little surprise that he
was concerned that someone might
spot him in the doorway of the £63 mil-
lion Manhattan mansion, as it belonged
to paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.
A video of the encounter emerged as
the Duke faced a growing list of ques-
tions over this association with the fi-
nancier who died in prison in an
apparent suicide earlier this month.
The Duke is seen in the video emerg-
ing in the imposing doorway of the
New York building which Epstein’s vic-
tims have dubbed the “House of Hor-
rors” to chat for a few seconds and then
wave goodbye to an unnamed woman.
Before he closes the door he peers
around it, apparently to see if anyone is
watching.
Less than an hour earlier, Epstein
had left the house in a thick fur-lined
coat in the company of a young blonde
woman who was wearing a thin jumper
and appeared to be shivering.
Witnesses told The Mail on Sunday
that the woman entering and leaving
the house while the Duke was inside
“looked very young indeed”.
The footage is from December 2010
when the Duke, then the UK’s special
representative for trade, stayed with
Epstein in his New York home.
Previously, pictures have emerged
from the same trip of the pair walking
together in Central Park.
The corridor in which the Duke
stood to wave goodbye to the woman is
said to contain a number of bizarre
items, including a painting of Bill
Clinton, the former US president,
wearing the dress that Monica Lewin-
sky was famously wearing when she
performed a sex act on him, and a chan-
delier with a life-size female doll hang-
ing from it.
Two years before the video was shot,
Epstein had been convicted of sex with

reclusive ‘G’ Maxwell

By Rozina Sabur

Massachusetts

GHISLAINE MAXWELL’S
sister has been spotted pack-
ing up bags near the secluded
beachfront mansion the Brit-
ish socialite had been staying
in after her former boyfriend
Jeffrey Epstein was rear-
rested on child sex trafficking
charges.
Ghislaine, 57, was thought
to have been staying at the
property owned by Scott
Borgerson, in Manchester-
by-the-sea, Massachusetts,
for some time but has not
been seen in the area for sev-
eral weeks.
However The Daily Tele-
graph observed Christine
Maxwell, her older sister,
packing a number of bags a
few miles from the property
on Saturday with the help of a
friend. Approached by this
newspaper, Christine, who
had been staying at a hotel in
the area, declined to com-
ment on the allegations sur-
rounding her sister.
The 69-year-old and her
husband, the physicist Roger
Malina, are thought to be liv-
ing in Dallas, Texas, where he
teaches at the University of
Texas. Christine is a doctoral
candidate in philosophy at
the university, according to
their website.
According to locals
in Manchester-by-the-Sea,
Ghislaine went by “G” rather
than her full first name, and
was often spotted taking a
Vizsla dog for walks, but oth-
erwise largely kept to herself.
According to a neighbour,
she had not been seen in the
well-heeled New England
town for several weeks. Mr
Borgerson, a tech CEO, dis-
tanced himself from Ghis-

laine this week, telling
reporters that she was not at
his home and that he did not
know where she was.
Ghislaine, the British
daughter of the late newspa-
per tycoon Robert Maxwell,
has found herself at the cen-
tre of the Epstein scandal af-
ter the financier hanged
himself in his jail cell on Aug

  1. He was awaiting trial in
New York on new charges of
    sex trafficking underage
girls. William Barr, the US at-
    torney general, has warned
    that “any co-conspirators
    should not rest easy” and
    lawyers for Epstein’s accus-
ers are said to be keen to
speak to Ghislaine as the con-
    spiracy case into Epstein’s
    network continues.
    The socialite’s current
    whereabouts are unknown.
    Ghislaine has never been
    charged with any crime, and
    has always denied any
    wrongdoing in connection
    with Epstein’s sexual abuses.
    Court documents un-
sealed on Aug 9 revealed she
was accused of playing a key
    role in procuring young girls
    for Epstein.
