LiTFUSE Poets’ Workshop
The 13th annual LiTFUSE Poets’
Workshop will be held from September
27 to September 29 at the Mighty Tietonor $245 for the first day. Registration
for the first day of the conference is first
come, first served. To attend the second
day of the conference, submit a query
and the first 10 pages of a manuscript-
in-progress. There is no application fee;
admissions are made on a rolling basis.

James River Writers
Conference
The 17th annual James River Writers
Conference will be held from October
11 to October 13 at the Greater Rich-
mond Convention Center in Richmond,
Virginia. The conference features
pitch sessions with agents and editors
and panel discussions for poets, fiction
writers, and creative nonfiction writers.
The conference will also offer precon-
ference master classes on October 11.
Participants include poets Jon Pineda
and Pavana Reddy, fiction writers Nafissawebsite for an application and complete
guidelines.

The Gotham Writers Conference will be
held from October 25 to October 26 at
the Ace Hotel in New York City. Spon-
sored by the Gotham Writers Work-
shop, the event is open to fiction and
nonfiction writers. The first day of the
conference features panels, presentations,
and a happy hour; the second day of the
conference features pitching roundtables
with literary agents. The faculty includes
fiction writers Susan Breen, Seth Fried,
and Kody Keplinger; and nonfiction
writer Kim Liao. Participating agents
