Beat the August heat with a refreshing
prosecco cocktail. We asked the pros in
the Woman’s World test kitchen for an easy
recipe, and they offered up this irresistible sip.
Bubbly, sweet and tangy, it’s the perfect way
to celebrate the day!

TUESDAY, AUGUST 13 NATIONAL PROSECCO DAY
No need to hit the spa to show your tootsies some love—you can
give them a feel-good massage right at home! Podiatrist Suzanne
Levine, D.P.M., says you’ll find a foot rub most soothing at the end
of the day, “when feet are tired, crampy and slightly swollen.” Her
easy how-to: Rub a bit of oil on your feet, then start at your toes,
applying light pressure. Varying between circular and linear motions,
gradually move to the ball of the foot, the arch and the ankle. “On
the sole of the foot, you can use stronger pressure,” says Dr. Levine.
Give each foot about 5 minutes of TLC. The result? Instant aah!
Treat your feet!
Ma ke your time in the sand even more memorable by building a sand-
castle. The secret to an impressive structure : Form wet sand into giant
pancakes, says Jill Harris of Sandsational Sand Sculpting. To do:
Use wet sand to form tightly packed 1" thick circles, building one
on top of another. “Sand is easier to stack if it’s flat,” she notes. Then
use your hand to smooth the panca kes together, or simply f ill in the
gaps with more wet sand. Also smart: Bring a spray bottle and spritz
your creation with water as you work to ensure the sand granules stick
together, says Harris. “The more moist it is, the easier it is to build.”
Dig into fun!
