Hem’s first US showroom opened
in Los Angeles in January with
Madera and an installation by Clark
Thenhaus (Endemic Architecture).
Confetti Courtyard redesigned the
courtyard, like a graphic overlap
of architecture, furniture,
landscape, social activity.

In September in Sydney in the
Green Square district the new
underground library by Stewart
Hollenstein (with Stewart
Architecture) was inaugurated.
The interior is arranged around a
garden rotunda, allowing
sunlight to filter through.
Thirty-nine round skylights
(with a diameter of one metre
each), found along the floor of
the square above (8,000 sq m)
let light and fresh air enter the
library below.

The restyled showroom of
Zucchetti. Kos in Milan, designed
by the studio Ludovica+Roberto
Palomba, rearranges the space to
offer professionals a place to view
the collections by the company and
to discover the compositional

The Swedish clothes brand Gina
Tricot has asked Note and Open Studio
to design its new flagship store in
Stockholm. In addition to keeping
the building’s historic elements, the
key challenge was to create a flexible
yet coherent model for the other 180
shops and to enhance the experience
of shopping, creating a meeting place
and snack bar on the upper floor.
