this year, Posters Unite! is a
collaborative, collective
effort between Group 2020
— a self-organised group of
Mumbai-based artists,
activists, architects and
filmmakers — and Artists
Unite. Posters Unite!
uploads a poster at the end
of each day on social media,

with the aim of coming

together for a democracy

against hate, discrimination

and violence. The artworks

are contributed

anonymously, and are free

to download, share and

circulate widely. The group

comprises a number of

leading artists from across

India, and their statement

reads thus: “We seek the

seeds of a creative

movement towards futures

that we desire, and wish to

realise. Futures free of hate,

of discrimination and

violence. Futures that are

equitable, inclusive, utopic,

thoughtful but also

courageous.”

Come, Let us also raise our hands
We, Who have forgotten all rites and passages
We, Who have forgotten our idols, our gods
We, Who only remember the burning passion of love
