T
exas’ most haunted hotel, reputedly home to the ghost of a
serial killer, is set to re-open to guests.
The Magnolia Hotel was built in 1840 but had fallen into
disrepair by the 1990s. It became infamous because, in 1874, a
pharmacist named Wilhelm Faust was staying there while he
was working in the area. Secretly in love with his wife Helena’s
sister, he rode to the city of New Braunfels where his wife was
staying with family friends, planning to murder her with an axe.
However, in the dark, he got the wrong person and murdered the
family’s 12-year-old daughter Emma instead. After he was
arrested, he admitted to two more murders – but until her death,
Helena refused to believe her husband had tried to kill her, even
though he confessed to the crime!
Faust’s unquiet soul resides at The Magnolia Hotel – and from
12 August you can book one of the hotel’s four rooms at
hauntedmagnoliahotel.com – if you dare...

A
liens are already living on Earth – and
they’re breeding with humans to create a
hybrid super-species. This shock claim was
made by Korean lecturer Dr Young-hae Chi, who
teaches at Oxford’s Oriental Institute.
According to The Oxford Student, Dr Chi
believes that the purpose of this inter-racial
breeding is to create a species that will survive
climate change on Earth, and this is behind the
alien abductions so frequently reported.
He’s written a book outlining his claims called
Alien Visitations and the End of Humanity. The
bad news is that he thinks this new race could
supecede ours and that climate change could
spell the end of humanity. Oh dear!
