Stalker hell!

E

ver since Chloe told scheming

husband Evan she wanted a

divorce, he’s bombarded her

with calls, texts and unwanted gifts.

As Chloe (Amy Lennox) ignores

him, this week Evan (Jack Ryder)

steps up his torment by leaving

photos of happier times they’ve

shared around the hospital. Chloe

says he must go through a solicitor!

Later, however, Chloe is rattled to

see a ‘Till Death Us Do Part’ message

on her car windscreen – and Evan

in the passenger seat... Q

hen Morwenna married kind-

hearted Drake Carne, it seemed

there was hope for a bright

future after the trauma she’d suffered

at the hands of her vile ex-husband,

Reverend Osborne Whitworth.

But Morwenna’s fragile emotions

have been shattered again since she

began secretly visiting John Conan,

the son she abandoned with Ossie’s

mother, Lady Whitworth (Rebecca

Front), when she fled the vicarage...

Maternal bond

‘Morwenna had to make this really

awful decision to leave her child in

order to get out of the awful situation

she was in,’ explains Ellise Chappell,

who plays Morwenna. ‘If she’d

stayed, Lady Whitworth would have

attempted to put her in an asylum,

so she had to leave and abandon

her son, which was traumatic.’

This week, realising how utterly

tormented Morwenna has

been over her separation

from her beloved son,

Drake pleads with Lady

Whitworth to let John

Conan live with them.

When that falls on deaf

ears, he then does the

only thing he can think of

to free Morwenna from her

misery and kidnaps the boy!

Of course, all hell breaks loose

and it’s up to Demelza to persuade

her brother to return John Conan

before Lady Whitworth has him

locked up. But will Morwenna be able

to kiss goodbye to her son for good?

‘Morwenna grapples with her

relationship with John Conan and

whether it’s healthy to be in his life,

not just for her but for him, too,’

explains Ellise. ‘She goes

through this process of

needing closure.’

Ellise says playing

troubled Morwenna

has been emotional.

‘I never realised how

I could feel so deeply

about a character – just

thinking about all she’s been

through, I cry!’ she reveals.

‘It’s also been emotional having

feedback from people saying her

story has touched them. I’m going

to miss playing her so much!’ Q
