Hanssen pays a visit to the
ED and reveals he’s launched
an investigation into the
alarming over-prescription of
benzodiazepines. That’s the
drug Connie’s been addicted
to since suffering anxiety
following a violent attack at
work earlier this year...
Troubleshooter Ciaran
Coulson (Rick Warden) is
convinced he’s got Connie
cornered and it’s only a matter
of time before he can expose
her. But Connie’s not going
down without a fight.
‘Ciaran’s found an over-
prescription on this drug and
now has the ammunition he
needs,’ says Amanda Mealing,who plays Connie. ‘If she gets
caught, her entire career is
over. She’s desperate and will
do anything to save herself!’Broken
In this week’s feature-length
episode, Connie connives to
cover her tracks at work.
‘Connie uses all her powers,
intelligence and experience
against everyone else and for
herself,’ teases Amanda. ‘It’s
just so sad. Love her or hate
her, we’re seeing someone
who’s broken and it’s horrible’.
Later, doctor Archie Hudson
(Genesis Lynea), who’s helping
Ciaran crack Connie, follows
the clinical lead to a pharmacyand catches her in
the act of getting
some diazepam.
Unfortunately,
Archie and Connie
have blundered into a
robbery, which quickly
escalates, and Archie
gets stabbed!
Archie refuses to
let Connie treat her
at the scene of the
crime, leaving her life
hanging by a thread...
Later, Connie finally comes
clean to her only friend.
‘She finally confesses to
Charlie Fairhead,’ reveals
Amanda. ‘She’s just praying
that he’ll make everything
okay. He’s the last person left.’
