Double whammy...

Robert’s stunned by

Vicky – and by Jed!

R

emember the scandal on the
Street when married man Steve
was revealed to be the dad of
baby Oliver Battersby, following a
one-night stand with Leanne?
Could history be about to repeat itself
this week when hairdresser Emma makes
the devastating discovery that her
dying dad is not her biological father?
Emma is left reeling after her dad
makes a startling deathbed confession
before he passes away from terminal
cancer – and she discovers her mum
has been lying to her for 20 years!
Later, Emma confides in salon boss
Audrey about her mum’s lies. When
angry Emma ignores a phone call from

her mum, Audrey is thrown as she sees
the image of Emma’s mother flash up
on the screen of her mobile – and it’s
none other than hairdresser Fiona
Middleton (played by Angela Griffin),
who left the cobbles in 1998 after
her troubled relationship with
Steve McDonald broke down!

Bombshell
Audrey and Steve’s mum,
Liz, do the maths, and
are shocked to realise
that Steve could be
Emma’s dad. But not as
gobsmacked as Steve is
when Liz breaks the news!

‘Steve just can’t believe
it – he hasn’t thought about Fiona for
so long,’ says Simon Gregson,
who plays the shellshocked
taxi driver. ‘So to discover
that she is actually Emma’s
mum is a real blast from the
past for him.’
Meanwhile, when Steve’s
wife Tracy and daughter
Amy arrive back from their
holiday, will he drop the shock
bombshell that he could
have another daughter? Q

Don’t go!

Robert cracks as Vicky

plans to leave the

country with his baby...

T

wo-timer Robert has
so far managed to keep
fiancée Michelle and
pregnant Vicky apart.
But after Robert has a
run-in with Vicky’s ex, Jed,
and she realises
she wants to make
things more official
with Robert, Vicky
announces she’s
going to have a

chat with Michelle, sending
the love cheat into a panic!

Brassed off
‘Vicky wants to check that
Michelle is definitely out
of the picture before she
pursues anything further
with Robert,’ explains Kerri
Quinn, who plays Vicky.
‘She just wants someone to
love her and commit to her.’

But Robert’s attempt
to stop Vicky spilling the
beans backfires, as the
mouthy mum assumes
he’s ashamed of her.
Vicky warns Robert she’s
not prepared to be his dirty
secret and announces
she’s moving to Ireland!
Will Robert be able to
stop her from leaving with
their unborn baby? Q

Could Steve be the hairdresser’s long-lost biological father?
