VERSATEX has recognized that build-
ers, renovators, and architects want op-

ing tongue-and-groove (T&G) materials
that can elevate the outdoor-living expe-

to homeowners who like the weather-
resistant qualities of conventional PVC
trimboards and mouldings overhead, but
want to add contrast and drama.
In many areas including coastal re-
gions, natural wood just doesn’t stand
up, even with continual cleaning and re-
finishing. Conventional millwork ceilings
can be a chore to finish and install, and
they’re vulnerable to humidity, salt spray,
and pest infestations. The VERSATEX solution is a durable,
realistic ceiling material that conforms to classic v-groove and
beadboard profiles as well as accessory mouldings. This war-
rantied system is based on a solid cellular PVC core wrapped
in tough, permanent woodgrain laminate. This combination
has been proved in more than a decade of challenging door
and window applications, and now the Canvas Series trans-
lates that technology to trim applications.
The Canvas Series is available in Black Cherry, Walnut,
Macore, Amber, and Weathered Grey, a shade that repli-
cates the look of antique, sun-bleached cedar. Ideal for ceil-
ings, soffits, and feature walls, the nominal 1x6 WP4 profile
(a full ¾” actual thickness) can span up to 24” on center.
This and the ½” x 6” Stealth bead profile are both avail-
able in 18’ lengths. Rounding out the systems are a 4” crownversatex.com/canvas-series
moulding and a bed moulding, both in 16’ lengths. There’s
even a color-matched touchup kit for butt joints or stray fas-
tener marks.
